Eco-Ideal was appointed by a leading global development institution to conduct a rapid assessment of emerging e-waste management and opportunities in Malaysia.
CHALLENGE
Rapid growth in green technologies such as solar power, electric vehicles, battery energy storage systems and data centres led to increasing volumes of potentially hazardous e-waste, creating environmental and management risks.
SOLUTION
The study assessed the current e-waste management landscape, evaluated potential environmental impacts and identified investment opportunities to strengthen sustainable e-waste management in Malaysia.
