In 2003, Engr. Soon Hun Yang, our founder and current Chief Executive Officer (CEO), identified a growing demand for professional environmental consultancy services. Recognizing this opportunity, Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn. Bhd. (Eco-Ideal), a Malaysian based environmental consultancy, was established on July 17th, 2003. Our goal at Eco-Ideal is to provide our clients in the public and private sectors with comprehensive and innovative environmental planning and consultancy services, leveraging our extensive experience and technical expertise.
Despite economic challenges, Eco-Ideal has experienced remarkable growth since its inception in 2003. By 2006, we expanded our operations to cover both East and West Malaysia, allowing us to offer more efficient and comprehensive services to our clients while upholding the highest standards of quality and attention to detail.
The Founders
Ir. Soon Choon Huie and Engr. Soon Hun Yang co-founded Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn. Bhd. in 2003. A great father and son pairing provided the necessary aspiration and leadership to the team.
Ir. Soon, a renowned civil engineer who had served the largest utility company in Sarawak (SESCO, now known as Sarawak Energy Berhad) brings along with him vast management and engineering experiences while Engr. Soon returned from Sweden (well known for sustainability) with his Master Degree in Environmental Management and Policy as well as his accumulated environmental experiences from environmental authority in Sarawak.
Chen Saw Ling
Chief Technical Officer
holds a Bachelor of Science in Environment from Malaysia local university. She embarked her career with Eco-Ideal Consulting since she graduated in 2005 and currently holding the position as Chief Technical Officer.
Soon Hun Yang
Founder / Chief Executive Officer
Engr. Soon Hun Yang holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management and Policy from the International Institute for Industrial Environmental Economics, Lund University, Sweden, and a Bachelor of Technology in Environmental Engineering from Massey University, New Zealand.
Chang Siaw Yen
Chief Operating Officer
holds a Bachelor of Science in Environment from Malaysia local university. She embarked her career with Eco-Ideal Consulting since she graduated in 2005 and currently holding the position as Chief Operating Officer.
Our team at Eco-Ideal has grown to include over 28 highly qualified professionals, including environmental managers, engineers, executives, information technology (IT) specialists, and supporting staff with expertise in various fields. Led by CEO Engr. Soon Hun Yang and Managing Director Ir. Soon Choon Huie, our team is dedicated to meeting our clients' needs and fulfilling environmental requirements. We also collaborate closely with international and Malaysian-based associates to continually enhance our knowledge, skills, and expertise.
